Keep us informed if you start a "Gunny's relief fund" : a little $5 or $20 can go a long way in those situation (especialy multiplied by =SEALZ=, =FC= and friends numbers !) and if he don't need it, he certainly know someone who does !  8^^

oh my goodness, yes, and as a matter of fact, gunny and I used to speak on a regular basis.........last year he purchased a home there and spent a FOURTUNE fixing it up.............i would be definately for getting him some money... i am certain he has lost everything just as most people there have....there are serveral charity organizations that make certain your money gets to whereyou want it to go log on to www.charitynavigator.com and there you will find several charities that are ligit and make sure 100% of your  donation gets right where it needs to be. I know this sounds awful, but i only knew him as gunny, so i dont even know his real name. such a shame. all that time talking to him, and i never got his real name. I Pray he is ok 8^^

Yeah New Orleans is like a bath tub.. When it was made, they emptied a lake and pumped it near by and bult 15ft levies to hold the water back... but when the storm surges of 40+ feet hit... not much those levies could do and they burst and basiclly emptied out the lake. And yes, the sewage and toxic chemicles are now all over the place and 5 off shore oiling rigs were wiped off the map.

Ok talked to Gunny just 2 hours ago , He and his family are safe, his brother went north and Gunny went east where he has family. He told me to tell everyone that he really appreciates everyones concern and that to tell everyone, =SEALZ= and =FC=, thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers.  When I talked to him we were trying to find him someplace to buy a Generator, he got one at Sams Club so he will at least have some capability of power. So given the situation he is doing ok. I will keep everyone updated when I can, I told him to keep in touch when he can.
