Use ctrl-M to bring up a minimap...its not great but gets you going in the right direction :)

There's a compass at the top of the screen too :)

OMG---Thank you Thank you!!!!  Yea--I was having to hover, look at map, turn, go, check map again to make sure I am going in the right direction, get close, hover, check map,....well, you get the picture.

Ctrl+M is my new hero!
